ToH Video Replay Review 39: Entertaining Lyon

It’s finally here! Welcome to the New Tales of Heroes! We are now recording in 800×600 resolution, for a much higher quality video! This is a preview of what will be available to subscribers when the new website comes up. The good news is that non-subscribers will still see a quality improvement over the old method, just not as dramatic as this!

This week’s show features Aniketos and Gogy vs. Savykin and Aftershock on Lyon. Lyon you say? Why play such a terrible map! In fact the game plays very well, as both sides make a decision not to blow the bridges, and so it plays out like a more normal choke point heavy map (with tons of tanks though!). Check out the massive battles between tripple vet panzer IVs, Panthers, Tigers, and up gunned Shermans, M10s, and Pershings. I’m going to put a label on it, i’m calling it EPIC.

No Video Today

Hey guys, No update for you today.  Still working on this video thing (been up since 6:30 this morning).  Tomorrow doesn’t look good either (vit and I are quite busy with real life stuff) so what i’m going for at this point is to record 2 videos for next week to make it up to you, the normal way if need be, but i’m not going to give up on this high quality stuff till i get it working.  It looks so much better than what we’re doing now!

ToH 39 Video Update

We weren’t able to record today, the method with which we were going to get the higher quality has created some issues.  It worked perfectly during my tests but it’s being erratic now.  We will be trying again tomorrow to get it to work and if not we’ll just be recording in the old fashion for now, just to get it out the door

Believe you me, this is frustrating me as much as it is you.  I’ve been tearing my hair out trying to solve this problem for most of this day (may day off mind you).  I might have to reformat my computer, see if that helps.

Tales of Heroes 39: Kodachrome

Hey everybody, we’ve got some big improvements coming down the pipe, not the least of which is a new website, so we only got the audio show recorded thus far. The Video is on track to be recorded and uploaded by Wednesday this week, we thank you all for your patience while we make this transition.

As for the audio, this week we discussed the most recent addition of the New Replay system to Gamereplays.org, along with the new Expert system, the CAL Finals and the beta test competition update. We took some listener questions and then had a great interview with Kodachrome, who has been featured in the last two video replay reviews here on ToH. I’m also happy to report we’ve got another installment of Vitensby’s Strategy of the Week this week, i know a lot of you really liked that segment. So without further ado, here’s the audio show download link.

Edit: Evotech over at Gamereplays.org got the answer It will be a preview of what subscribers will get when we implement the program with the new website.  Higher Quality Video!

Here’s the good news though: Even non-subscribers will see a marked improvement in image quality starting next week!

So to review - Today we’ll release the super duper high quality version for everyone, after that we’ll only have it availible for subscribers (once we get the system into place, which shouldn’t be too long now), however non-subscribers will also see a boost in quality starting next week

Tales of Heroes 38: Aniketos

Update to the Update

Hey guys, I’ve got some good news for you at last We’ve got the web serverup and running, and i am currently uploading all of the content from the last 3 weeks (including this week’s video show) and i’ll put the links up when i get back from work later tonight. More good news, rather than going back to the old wordpress site we’re going to work on implementing the new site ASAP. I can’t give you an exact timetable on that, but we’re tweaking things and figuring stuff out. You won’t be disappointed
