So this is one of the last posts you’ll see on this blog here. Check out www.gamefire.com for all the latest Tales of Heroes updates. Oh and did i mention that Tales of Heroes Video Replay Review 42a is out? 42b will be out later today and the audio show will also be up later today.
After some discussion we’ve decided to keep the audio show in download and podcast format available to everyone. It’s not nearly as big as the videos and i’m sure a lot of people would like to listen to it on the road. So we’ll put up audio show #42 later today in MP3 downloadable form (podcasts links coming soon!).
The player for the video files does have a full screen feature in it, we’re just working on enabling that at the moment, so you’ll be able to watch the shows the same way you always have, except in full high quality
If you still have problems with these changes, send me some feedback @ talesof@gamefire.com

Has anybody else using the adblock extension with firefox got the flash player to work? I don’t see a way to whitelist a site.

Nevermind, I figured it out. When you are in the preferences, you will see an exception area with mozilla.org listed. Just add another entry for gamefire.com

I think you uploaded it backwards. You hit the previous button and it shows the newer vids, and then if you next it shows past episodes.

Any Link from the Second video ?
August 1, 2007 at 4:01 pm
Using this extension to FireFox gets the Vid bigger —— ‘there is a way to watch this in full screen – almost full screen. If you use firefox, install extension which is called Video Downloader 1.1.1. (Google it) Open the link with TOH episode and click on the icon of video downloader which is on the bottom right of the firefox window. When you do this, the window pops-up with two links: one is for video replay, the other for gamefire. Click “Download Link” for the replay and it will open in the new window which you can maximize to full screen. Or just simply copy/paste’
Im gonna let the vid load first and see if that stops the slowness or choppiness of the video as it was pretty unwatchable.

Great show, guys! However, having to stream it is really not that convenient, even worse than BT, at least to me personally. Please, BT would probably be prefered by most people than streaming, if http download is not possible due to bandwith requirement. I really love the show, but it’s just getting less and less convenient to watch it.

We’ve got to make money some how fate, or there won’t be any more ToH in the future
Subscriber program is coming soon which will allow you to download it (and get extra shows at better quality).
August 2, 2007 at 4:17 pm
The video is chopping away at a mere 2 frames per second for me. Blame it on the Mac I use, sure, but there you have it. I will be back to check developments, but for now I guess this is ‘goodbyyye TOH’.
August 2, 2007 at 10:22 pm
A few people are having that problem kris, we’re working on a way to solve it. So far we don’t know why it’s doing that only for some people (dispite them having fast computers and the latest version of flash).

I love ToH, I might have reacted a bit rude.
Isn’t it an idea to have the downloadable video locked behind an ad page that one has to go through? In such way that deeplinking to it, circumventing the ads, is close to impossible. Or… that you have to register for a free account in order to download, which will result in advertisers sending you emails occasionally?
I love the little smiley at the bottom of this page. I only just noticed it.
