Another week, another Tales of Heroes! This week we’ve got a long match on rails and metal with massive amounts of artillery and infantry on the allied side facing up against conservative tigers and veteran support units (mortars ftw!). This may be the best since episode 26, you don’t want to miss it
So what are you waiting for? Download it now
Also: Get the replay!
Note #1: The upload will not be finished until approximately 1pm EST (about an hour from when this post was made). I have to leave now so i’m posting this before the download is done. If your download is not around 238mb, try redownloading it a little later on.
Note #2: Audio show will be uploaded this evening along with another video replay review (#41) to make up for missing 2 weeks ago.
Note #3: Please be aware that the quality this week will not be the super-high quality that we had last week. That quality is reserved for subscribers as soon as we get the subscription in place. This week’s shows, however, are still in better quality than past ToH shows (you can still read the text of the players chatting, will still look better on bigger screens).
July 23, 2007 at 4:16 pm
Hey man, thanks for the hard work. Really looking forward to this weeks show.
keep up the good work.
July 23, 2007 at 4:17 pm
YAR!
July 23, 2007 at 4:24 pm
YAR thanks! Cant wait to watch thanks for the show agian
July 23, 2007 at 4:34 pm
Awesome, much appreciated!
July 23, 2007 at 4:37 pm
Thanks very much, will watch at work tomorrow.
Right now it’s playing time!
July 23, 2007 at 4:47 pm
So to get quality…you have to pay?
Money is too difficult to earn to piss it away for something that isn’t that consistent anyway. Anyone subscribing to this bullshit has way too much money and very little sense.
My respect for ToH has dramatically gone down.
July 23, 2007 at 4:52 pm
omg, this replay is just one big battle.
looking forward to the video!
July 23, 2007 at 5:02 pm
Any idea yet how much a subscription will go for?
July 23, 2007 at 5:02 pm
cool… Thanks,for getting it out…
July 23, 2007 at 5:10 pm
Hi,Nice!
Althought i didn’t think it was really necessary a video to make up stuff, it can happen, but i really like it…
1 thing have you changed the intro-tune? I like the other one better, but this one is ok too
Nice video, i love them, all week.
July 23, 2007 at 5:24 pm
Damn you guys Rock …
You truly are big enough to count on your very own Trolls ….
“Wouldn’t you like to know” : Elevated to the rank of Official Douchebag of TOH
July 23, 2007 at 5:28 pm
In this video replay,
is it just me, or vit’s voice was alot louder than briger’s?
Except that, great work as usual.
July 23, 2007 at 5:51 pm
awesome replay!!! great! waiting for of beta key, can’t wait any longer!
thx from the wonderful germany for weekly audio and video shows!
July 23, 2007 at 6:00 pm
OMG OMG OMG I Have the funniest line from the video. *Airborne goes into barn* *Bridger adjusts camera to zoom in on paratrooper*….”He is one with the barn”.
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOomg i can’t stop laughing
July 23, 2007 at 6:04 pm
Thanks Bridger. Will Watch Tomorrow, Sounds Good.
July 23, 2007 at 6:11 pm
Great job once again guys. And that quality is 10x better than before. I cant wait for the next one!
July 23, 2007 at 6:21 pm
that was brilliant!
July 23, 2007 at 6:52 pm
WOW, that was an amazing replay those players were top notch IMO. They do all of the micro with great speed that I always attempt to do my self great game I thought the allies lost that one midgame but the arty really got them back in it.
July 23, 2007 at 7:16 pm
would have been funny if the medic station didn’t die and the medics were returning men to a pole..
July 23, 2007 at 7:21 pm
What happend to that second video which was supposed to come last week?
July 23, 2007 at 7:31 pm
This is it.. #41 should come later today
July 23, 2007 at 8:18 pm
Awesome game guys, and great shoutcast as always.
I loved seeing the latest in bunker cloaking technologies
July 23, 2007 at 9:12 pm
Great replay, and probably the best shoutcast you guys have done in a while. Stuck to the game, good commentary.
Btw, Support Veterancy includes mortars, AT guns, MGs, and 88s. So the 88s and AT guns actually count as infrantry support and not vehicle.
July 23, 2007 at 9:20 pm
Great show guys, that was an epic battle!
Whens the next episode coming up, I hope I can see it before I turn in for the night
July 23, 2007 at 9:55 pm
Great show, best one in a long time, im looking forward to the next.
July 23, 2007 at 10:00 pm
WHY? WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE MUSIC? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
Awesome show though.
But WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
July 23, 2007 at 10:09 pm
Toooootally bring back that old riff at the start, please!
July 23, 2007 at 10:32 pm
Did anybody ever notice that there are wheels flying around after a Croc blows up?
July 23, 2007 at 10:56 pm
<3
July 23, 2007 at 11:07 pm
AWESOME GAME! Have more user submitted replays please. Since normal users only submit their best and most action packed games.
July 23, 2007 at 11:07 pm
*rubs forehead*
hmm im guessing the new site is gamefire.com/talesof … *tries it* aha! it just redirects back here!
July 23, 2007 at 11:07 pm
Yes and please bring back the old music ^^
July 23, 2007 at 11:14 pm
Quite possibly the most entertaining shoutcast yet. Axis players had my disease: not aggressive enough. With only riflemen between their tiger/stukas and the Allies’ base, they milled around the artillery zone getting pounded by vet3 105s . . why, Why, WHYYYY???
Y’all will get used to the new music and forget all about the old riff soon enough.
July 23, 2007 at 11:17 pm
Excellent job guys. This was a fun replay.
BTW – that StuH that went down at the 27 minute mark? It wasn’t the Airborne RR that did it – it was a rear shot from the 88! Friendly fire FTW!
Oh, and I’ll jump on the old music bandwagon as well. The new bumper music is a bit flat by comparison.
July 23, 2007 at 11:51 pm
What an awesome game
This is why coh is so fun.. every now and then a game comes along like this and when your done with it.. your grinning ear to ear
I think the axis guys were just shellshocked .. after so much 105 arty pounding they were scared to step into the fog!
awesome game, great commentary too.. thanks
July 23, 2007 at 11:52 pm
Sweet moses that was a great game to watch – excellent stuff guys!

“So to get quality…you have to pay?
Money is too difficult to earn to piss it away for something that isn’t that consistent anyway. Anyone subscribing to this bullshit has way too much money and very little sense.
My respect for ToH has dramatically gone down.”
That’s right, if you want to download double the filesize worth the bandwidth and therefore cost us twice as much money on our hosting bills, you’ll need to pay to offset that cost.
And the main thing your getting for subscribing is not the high quality, the main draw is an extra video replay review (available to subscribers only) each week. The high quality is the icing on the cake.
And $5 a month is not being “pissed away.” It buys you an extra 4 hours of entertainment each week. Compare that to paying $10 for a 2 hour movie and it’s a bargin.
As for the music – TsN had the rights to use the painkiller music, gamefire does not. I am changing the music again for next week’s show, cause i think i found a better one, but we can’t go back to the old one unless somebody at dreamcatcher or Peaple Can Fly wants to give us permission to use the painkiller music.
July 24, 2007 at 12:58 am
Bridger for your super work this week I will lower the bounty on yours an vitensby’s head by $10,000, and I will personally tell Eiesnhowr that you two have been killed in action by the french underground if you give me a free subscription!!
July 24, 2007 at 1:11 am
yeah shame you have had to “switch” from that one.
Heh was playing Painkiller few days ago, and had a major “WTF?!?!” moment when that tune played
July 24, 2007 at 1:12 am
Remember…to anyone who subscribes….please upload the hi-res videos to bittorrent for those that can’t afford it, so we can enjoy them too!
Thanks!
July 24, 2007 at 1:21 am
The hell I miss the old theme song. BRING IT BACK
Other than that great replay.
Keep the old theme. Its just not the same without.
July 24, 2007 at 1:21 am
No….
July 24, 2007 at 1:21 am
Hey Bridger and Vitensby, regarding stickies missing…I’ve noticed that 100% of the sticky misses that I’ve seen are due to the sticky catching on the lip of a crater that the vehicle is in.
Hmmm, the anti-sticky crater strat…..bwahhhhhhaahahahaha!
Mine is an evil laugh.
July 24, 2007 at 1:23 am
“No….”
Was to Bobby not the peep above it.
July 24, 2007 at 1:29 am
Screw TSN and the RIAA…..use the old music. Anything else will just suck.
July 24, 2007 at 1:38 am
Any true fan will understand how much time and effort you guys put into this (and how much money you probably put into recording programs) and how much you guys deserve to get paid for this, so don’t listen to trolls who think you have “sold out” or some bullshit like that. assuming each audio shows or video show lasted 1 hour that’s over 80 hours of ToH, I couldn’t even imagine the bandwidth cost and the amount of time you guys put into this while getting almost nothing back, best of luck.
-Anax/Enax
July 24, 2007 at 1:51 am
Are you going to have it so you can pay for a years subscrition cause id rather do that then have to pay one month at a time…is it going to be credit cards as the only way to pay like visa cards?
July 24, 2007 at 1:52 am
Bridger,
Just wondering…
What microphones, exactly, do you use to record the show? They sound pretty good.
July 24, 2007 at 2:00 am
Hey guys are there any more COH OF closed beta keys left, I tried looking for them on fileplanet and IGN but found nothing….if there are still more on those sites can someone post a link.
Also does anyone have a clue when the open beta will be out? how long did it take the open beta to come out after the closed beta for vanilla COH?
July 24, 2007 at 2:05 am
Bridger, you said we get an extra four hours if we subscribe. I thought the only additional content was another replay. Am I missing something?
July 24, 2007 at 2:07 am
you get one extra a week.
July 24, 2007 at 2:35 am
Why the FUCK did the defensive player not use the collateral damage artillery to stop
VP points as well as other points from being seized. Ridiculous.
July 24, 2007 at 3:12 am
Poor stuh, it got molested by the flak that tried to save it >_<
July 24, 2007 at 3:24 am
haha you’re right tibbar, poor stuh
getting owned by the flak. wow this is epic than the last episode (#39) and the quality is good. oh no now i know what i’m missing; the painkiller intro song~!!
July 24, 2007 at 3:28 am
Where is teh audio show!!?!?!? The time is running out!!! :000
July 24, 2007 at 3:32 am
arghhhhhhh now i’m screaming~!!! what’s with the late ostwind? he should have that before the knight cross, base-rush him with the tiger~!!! nooooooo ok now i’m cool. best.episode.ever.
July 24, 2007 at 5:35 am
That was one of my favorite replay reviews EVER! I always cringe horribly when Axis players make small mistakes, like not being aggressive enough to cap the VPs towards the end and the waaay waaay to late T4.
But this one… oh man… this one was awsome. I didn’t even cringe seeing those mistakes, because it was constant mayhem and awsomeness. Really really great game, and its awsome to see user submitted ones. TBH, I think they are usually better than the usual “Pro Players” replays sometimes.
There was one thing that was missing. The old TSN music
. I hope you guys get permission to use it, its unfortunate you can’t though…
By the way, best of luck on your subscription service, you guys deserve some cash for all your hard work. Its not selling out, its becoming an even better show for FREE, and with just five bucks added an even better-er-est show. I hope you guys get rich off this, then you can do it more, lol.
July 24, 2007 at 9:13 am
Yay I’m thrilled to see that you actually used the replay Bridger
Me and boom talked a lot about the game afterwards, here’s what we talked about:
1. That chance to have that kind of game is the reason we play CoH. What is also remarkable about the game is that at no point any unit felt overpowered or retarded and there were no major bugs interferring with the good gameplay =)
2. We were kind of skeptic to send it into ToH in fear of being flamed or “lowering the pro standards” of ToH replays. I’m happy it was well received
About my play: My playstyle mostly favors infantry battle and the reason I went motorpool was really exclusively for the halftrack so I could reinforce close to the front and avoid the long run back to HQ. You guys didn’t notice but I actually lost like 3 halftracks to Flak 88’s and I had no idea why they died (I discovered why afterwards when watching the replay
) – so they actually did the axis some good. Backteching to barracks is necessary because no allied player can be successful throughout a prolongued game without riflemen IMO – WSC units are nice, but Riflemen are the backbone; Airborne infantry is the spice =D
About Boombastics play: He was sorry that he played worse than he usually do (in his words), and what he regretted most about the game was that he sacrificed too many tanks, especially the ones without infantry support. Otherwise he felt that his Howitzers did almost nothing to the 88’s, but apparently you disagree and in hindsight, they actually did their job. He also considered if he should’ve used rangers, but I think we both agreed that they’re still to sucky. Still he’s more tank favored playstyle compliments mine quite good I think
I’ve actually come to love airborne infantry. They are quite the special ops guys with ability to fire up and throw granades (goodbye infantry/MG’s), satchel charges (goodbye OPs, medic bunkers, Flak 88s, bunched up units) and recoiless rifles (effective AT support with godlike accurate). Their only downfall is MP cost, but you just have to use them carefully, which is easier said than done, but I just still love ‘em
I’m a but surprised you didn’t have more tips and corrections, but I guess that’s what you get from such a chaotic game. Sometimes I wonder, can the pro’s still have these kind of games? I dunno, but their games usually lack the diversity and nonstop unit-mixed multi-front action I fancy so much. But I guess they also have this rarely.
July 24, 2007 at 11:37 am
awesome show! heaps of action and fun… the double on map howitzers turned it around. i thought that game was axis’ when the first tiger popped out, but they didnt do enough with it.
and im with the 5 or so guys who have said this already… bring back the old intro muzik!!!
July 24, 2007 at 11:42 am
woops, apologies about the music comment, i didnt read through the entire thing previously
July 24, 2007 at 3:32 pm
Awesome, simply awesome.
I quite liked the new music too!
Keep up the good work guys
July 24, 2007 at 3:50 pm
Wow EPIC game. Nice!
July 24, 2007 at 5:31 pm
Really nice game! Action packed to say the least. Things blowing up the whole time. Marvellous!
July 24, 2007 at 11:47 pm
I keep listening to the new music, it needs to be changed. Not because its bad, but because that awesome guitar playing distracts me from bridgers opening speech…
July 25, 2007 at 4:09 am
Really nice show! Keep up the good work!
btw. around 27:00 when StuH gets killed, it actually got killed by flak88 behind it, not because Allies
July 25, 2007 at 6:50 am
that was the best replay ever. i agree that the user submitted ones are the best. And too bad you can’t play the old intro.
July 26, 2007 at 12:25 am
No cute internet name for Vit? I am soooo disappointed. I feel left out too now
July 26, 2007 at 1:01 am
For real: i am halfway through and this replay is so funny. Great comments. And the FLAK 88 one-shoting its own StuH is hilarious. Sry for the doublepost
July 30, 2007 at 1:05 pm
You said some where in the replay that British bombed by day and Americans by night. It was actually the other way around. British were at night and Americans bombed by day.
Great replay, I loved the constant artillary barrages.
July 30, 2007 at 5:41 pm
seriously a really great game .. keep those 2v2 and 3v3 games come up .. and this was a much more fun game to watch than 60% of the “pro” games wich is dominated by a *”pro”
August 11, 2007 at 12:09 am
