Hey guys, still hoping to get the site back up soon, but for now you can download this week’s video show (audio will be up later) via Bit Torrent. If you don’t know what bit torrent is or how to use it, check out this guide with links to the program you need (Azureus is a really good open source Bit Torrent Program) and detailed instructions on how to get it setup and working. Some people with routers have problems with bit torrent, so it may not work for you right away.
Keep in mind that as soon as the site is back up, you’ll be able to download this episode normally like you’ve always been able to
This Week’s Video Replay Review is a very impressive game between GermanSupreme and Nuvion on Angoville. Both of them are in the clan Reborn and they certainly show their skills this match. What makes this match interesting is that GermanSupreme is playing allies this time (all other times on ToH he was axis) and that we have a Defensive Doctrine vs. Infantry Company matchup. You don’t want to miss this one! (Link to the replay)

Whot!
Thanx and good luck with the server.
June 12, 2007 at 3:47 pm
Great serivice!
But I must say you should recommend uTorrent as the bittorrent client program instead, it’s bar far the best I’ve ever tried, and I have tried quite a few
June 12, 2007 at 3:49 pm
Is the torrent actually seeded? I don’t see any seed in the swarm
June 12, 2007 at 3:53 pm
Not seeing any seeds either, with less than 20% of the file available in the swarm.
June 12, 2007 at 4:03 pm
Availability is going up though (~29% on my client now), so I guess it’s a hidden seed
June 12, 2007 at 4:04 pm
Nice idea to go with a Torrent, but there are no seeds atm, as stated above !
June 12, 2007 at 4:10 pm
Yeah, I just noticed availability climbing steadily, so I guess it’s all good.
June 12, 2007 at 4:15 pm
Well that’s odd, because i’m seeding it at 54kbps atm. It’s in superseeding mode too, not sure why you wouldn’t see me?
Azureus FTW! Open source is teh r0×0r
You’ll also notice (as was posted above) that the availible file % is going up, it’s at about 40% now.
June 12, 2007 at 4:20 pm
uTorrent wins its only a 170kb download
June 12, 2007 at 4:26 pm
When superseeding you are mostly only showing parts of the file that nobody have. That way the seeder will not be choked by requests for parts that most clients already have.
June 12, 2007 at 4:43 pm
Ah that makes sense Andy
June 12, 2007 at 5:08 pm
Go download GO!, i want to see myself
June 12, 2007 at 5:30 pm
hmm less than 10kb/s
Torrents are worse than i remember
i’ll leave it till the sites back up
Thanks anyway
June 12, 2007 at 5:35 pm
It’s only less than 10Kb/s because i’m the only one seeding the file and i only have 50KB/s upload. So if we had 13-14 seeds going and 150 peers you’d get the file in no-time. Torrents only work really well with a lot of people connected. 50 is hardly enough to unlock the full potential of torrent file sharing. It does, however, help alleviate bandwidth issues until the site is back up
June 12, 2007 at 5:38 pm
Yeah!
So just remember, after you get the file dont close your torrent program for as long as possible.
PWEASE!!!
June 12, 2007 at 5:38 pm
ah, makes sense
I suppose the fact im the other side of the pond won’t help :p
June 12, 2007 at 5:50 pm
heh if you mean UK (like me) you live in Bittorrent re-stricted download speed center of the universe at peak time
June 12, 2007 at 5:51 pm
Oh you’re superseeding, I guess that explains why it doesnt show a seed. I am gonna leave my window open for a while
.
June 12, 2007 at 5:55 pm
cmon people, more upload!
June 12, 2007 at 6:26 pm
man I dunno what all you guys are raving about bittorrent crap, this is slower than dialup! at least i can download from rapidshare in a few mins… this is taking hours to dl with this bittorrent stuff :/
June 12, 2007 at 6:32 pm
Can anyone upload it rapidshare when they get it? its a small file and waiting so long to get it is sad.
Rapidshare FTW!
June 12, 2007 at 6:34 pm
I meant the audio is small my bad, still do the video too
June 12, 2007 at 7:11 pm
well at this rate I’ll have the video in 7 weeks 3 days, and the audio file in 3 days
Guess Encryption no longer works (or not many peeps have it enabled)
June 12, 2007 at 7:20 pm
took me an hour to DL the video show right when it came up…should be alot faster by now. i see a total of 39 seeds while iam dl the audio show right now.
June 12, 2007 at 7:29 pm
I just hit 50% and it’s been going for 2 hours now… i got the audio show but the replay is taking forever. I guess I just don’t get this torrent thing
June 12, 2007 at 7:35 pm
For all you neophytes, ahem
once you’ve started dl…and even finished leave the prgrm running for few hours, this way us still dl have a chance to get the file and you’re helping the environment >,
June 12, 2007 at 7:38 pm
And stick the audio show on rapidshare….
June 12, 2007 at 8:52 pm
I guess my ISP must realy hate Bittorrent, never go abover 5k sec
*cry*
June 12, 2007 at 8:57 pm
i dont know what ur talking about, but when the site was normal i still downloaded video replay show in 2-5 hours. and bitorent aint slower than that
June 12, 2007 at 9:04 pm
Guess you dont live in the UK.
Peak Time in UK + Bitorrent = Slower than dialup from the 14.4k days
June 12, 2007 at 10:01 pm
I downloaded it, and now am super seeding as well, for all you guys, since ill watch the show tomorow
June 12, 2007 at 10:34 pm
Im downloading with 1Mb/sec right now going up so I’ll be done in a few, then I’ll seed as well with 25MBIT
June 12, 2007 at 11:07 pm
ahh now that it’s gone 0:00, it’s gone from 3weeks to 10mins yay!!!
June 12, 2007 at 11:57 pm
the time is an estimate based on your current speed. If it speeds up then the time comes down. It also varies with the nymber of people that have the pieces your interested in.
Entire torrent is running @ over 2MB/s(16mbit/s) now. Divide that by the 21 peers and thats ~ 100kb/s each, not to bad for not having a dedicated server!
June 13, 2007 at 12:20 am
anyone want to please stick the audio up on rapidshare ?
June 13, 2007 at 12:26 am
Fantastic show guys. A great audio and video show probably puts #35 at the top of my list.
Also, haha@ the end comment by Bridger about his spelling.
June 13, 2007 at 1:05 am
Plz upload both to rapidshare
June 13, 2007 at 1:17 am
Plz anybody upload the files to rapidshare; my ISP hates bittorrent
June 13, 2007 at 2:35 am
Wow bridger, actually the speed of torrent is much higher than what i used to get from ToH website, I think it will be good idea to have a optional torrent release for less site bandwidth usage eh?
June 13, 2007 at 3:17 am
Love the look of the new site! Very crisp and clear.
Aww, I watched this game before with Evotech’s Shoutcast – but I enjoyed it regardless.
Thanks again Bridger and Vits for another great show!
June 13, 2007 at 3:31 am
Parabol : I found the exact same thing.
Maybe in the future they can have “http seeding” allowing both methods of distribution.

June 13, 2007 at 7:09 am
Once I finish donwloading, I’ll upload it to rapidshare.
June 13, 2007 at 7:34 am
Thanks LBadvance, really aprreciate it since my BitLord unable to get any connection from any peers at all.
June 13, 2007 at 8:21 am
I also suggest using uTorrent, I also found it to be the best torrent client, and it’s low on resources. And woot, the video replay is downloading at 600KB/s, it neved reached that high with the usual download method. So I also think that providing a torrent download link from now on would be a good idea. It would also save on the Tales site’s bandwidth.
June 13, 2007 at 10:41 am
Download’s done uploading in progress
June 13, 2007 at 11:06 am
Damn man my name is not Noobion
June 13, 2007 at 11:45 am
Bitt Torrent for the win! 20 min download
I saw this game on GR already also:(
June 13, 2007 at 5:23 pm
Another vote for uTorrent. Much faster, stable, and lower memory footprint. Given that speed at which this downloaded, I’m all for torrenting every show! It was much faster than normal for me.
June 13, 2007 at 5:42 pm
I would opt for both formats. Alot of people can’t torrent due to firewall restrictions and or corporate policy
I’m hoping LBadvance has some luck getting the vid posted… thanks LB
June 13, 2007 at 9:53 pm
Good job with the torrent! Finally you made it available \o/ Thanks. DL speed ATM is slightly over 200 kB/s for the video and around 100 kB/s for the audio. Awesome.
June 13, 2007 at 11:59 pm
OK stratch that idea of me uploading to rapidshare. The connection keeps reseting on me when i’m uploading…

Koops FTW !!!
June 14, 2007 at 8:47 am
Thank you Koops!!! ^^^
June 14, 2007 at 12:16 pm
Ouch… 3 hours wait period between each download? That’s ruff
June 14, 2007 at 4:18 pm
THANKS!!!!
By the way, where you from? Never saw hXXp!
To the guys without a rapidshareaccount. There is a simple trick to go around rapidshare iplock. Simply set off your router, count 1,2,3 , turn router on, you get a new ip and can download the next file.
For those having problems with Koops links, simply rename hxxp to http.
Thanks again Koops. Me taking a shower now, then load my mortar (shisha
) with some chocolate ammo and enjoy my weekly hour of crazyness. Don’t remind if I told you already, but THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!
